Hibiclens® antiseptic/antimicrobial skin cleanser was chosen for the Equine Direct product line for its broad-spectrum activity. The active agent in Hibiclens® (chlorhexidine gluconate) provides long residual antiseptic anti-microbial activity due to its ability to bind to the protein of the skin. Hibiclens® is the preferred wound-cleaning agent of many top equine operations. Proper use and cautions are listed on the product label. Caution: Hibiclens® will stain clothing use proper care to avoid contact with clothing items.
